Stitching is a column with the gaps taken out
Every picture is scaled to one common width — the narrowest picture's own width at Auto, or whatever width you type under Output — and stacked in tray order. The height is the sum of the pictures' heights plus any gaps, and it is printed as that sum under Output, so a 1,080 px wide stitch of three phone screenshots reads, for example, 2,340 + 2,340 + 2,340 = 7,020.
How to do it
- Add the pictures, top firstDrop them all at once. The tray is the order; By name sorts numbered screenshots, By date taken uses the camera's capture time.
- Leave the gap at zeroOr add a gap and a background colour if the parts should read as separate panels.
- Set a width if it is for a phone1,080 px is a common phone width. The height follows; the panel warns past 8,192 px.
- ExportPNG keeps text in screenshots sharp; JPEG or WebP with a KB limit for upload forms.
Where it stops
There is no overlap detection or feature matching: parts are placed edge to edge, never blended or warped into each other. A part photographed at an angle stays at that angle.
Questions people ask
How tall can the stitched image be?
On a computer the board can write up to 16,384 px a side and about 120 megapixels; on an iPhone or iPad, 8,192 px and about 16 megapixels. Past 8,192 px tall it warns you, because many phones and messaging apps shrink or refuse images that tall. Set a Width under Output and the height comes down with it.
Can the screenshots touch with no line between them?
Yes. This page opens with no gap and no margin. If you change them, the Touching switch under Spacing sets both back to zero in one press.
My screenshots are different widths. What happens?
Matched widths scales every picture to the narrowest one, so none is enlarged past its own pixels and the column has straight edges. If you would rather keep each at its own size, switch Sizing to Natural and choose how they line up.
Can I stitch a long receipt photographed in parts?
Yes — add the parts top to bottom (the tray is the order; By name sorts them if the files are numbered). There is no overlap matching: the board places the parts edge to edge, so photograph them with a clean break between sections.
Are the screenshots uploaded?
No. They are read, laid out and written in this browser tab. Nothing is sent anywhere, which matters for chats and receipts.
Can I stitch them side by side instead?
Yes: switch the arrangement to Side by side, or use the side-by-side page, which opens that way.
