A page is a frame measured in millimetres
A print page is a fixed frame whose size comes from paper and DPI: millimetres divided by 25.4, times the DPI. The margin and the gap are millimetres too, converted the same way. The two pictures are fitted whole into the two halves, so nothing on a document is cut off, and the DPI is written into the file's header so a printer prints it at the right size.
How to do it
- Add the two picturesFront first, back second; the tray is the order.
- Choose paper, turn and DPIA4 portrait at 300 DPI is the usual choice; 200 or 150 DPI for small upload limits.
- Set margins and gapIn millimetres. Side by side or a grid for landscape pages and four pictures.
- Export JPG or PNGAdd a KB limit for an upload field.
Where it stops
This is layout, not scanning: no deskew, no cropping to the card's edge, no thresholding. Photograph or scan each side flat and cropped. A PDF output is not offered yet.
Questions people ask
What pixel size is an A4 page?
It depends on the DPI: A4 is 210 × 297 mm, so at 300 DPI it is 2,480 × 3,508 px, at 200 DPI 1,654 × 2,339 px and at 150 DPI 1,240 × 1,754 px. The page panel prints the size for whatever you choose.
A4 or Letter?
A4 in India and most of the world; Letter (8.5 × 11 in) in the US and Canada. Legal is the longer US sheet.
The upload field has a KB limit. Can I meet it?
Yes. Choose JPG under Output and turn on Keep the file under a size. Quality is lowered first and the pixel size only if needed, and the readout says what it did. A full A4 page at 300 DPI under 100 KB may need 150 or 200 DPI.
Is there an official format for Aadhaar or ID front and back on one page?
Not that we know of. Putting both sides on one page is a common request for single-file upload fields and for printing, not a rule. If your form gives its own layout, follow it.
Will the cards be cropped?
No. This page shows each picture whole (Show all) inside its half. Switch to Fill & crop under Cells if you want the halves filled.
Are my documents uploaded?
No. They are read and laid out in this browser tab, which is why it is a reasonable place for ID cards.
